The first batch of 4th year students of DBTI who had just completed their first aid training which lasted from July 3rd - 4th has received the certificates upon successful completion of the requirements of the course. After much debate on who should be the one to take first aid for the 4th year students, the first aid course was facilitated by Mr Jefferson Agustilo, a certified nurse of DBTI.
The students were taught how to treat an unconscious victim, with different burns of 1st, 2nd and 3rd degree burns, knife wounds, eye injuries and joints injury. When the facilitator was finished demonstrating to the students then students were asked to go in pairs to demonstrate CPR on unconscious persons using mannequin as a victim and using bandages to ease the injury of the victims with burns, bleeding wounds, knife wounds, eye injuries and joints injury.
When students had successfully demonstrated how to deal with different victims they were given certificate upon the completion of the course.
